Artist's Description
The Vess Soda Bottle is now located at 520 O'Fallon St. First erected at Hampton & Gravois, it was moved to this new location in 1989. The sign is now designated a City Landmark, it stands over 35 feet tall, and is almost 7 feet around. Built by the Yeesh Neon Company in 1953, it was believed to be the largest, revolving, lighted bottle in the world. At night it was lit by more than 600 lineal feet of neon tubing.

Kelly, This is a FANTASTIC image...sign, landmark! Does it have neon lights on it? Anyways... love it! Gave it a vote and favorite! Thanks for starting that new NEON IMAGE GROUP! That will be really fun to see all the people's NEON pictures!
Kelly Awad replied:
Thank you Kym, and yes it does have lights on it. I'm not sure if it still lights, but now I must investigate. I know I was seeing so many good neons, and I'm having fun with that too right now so... had to make one of "Strictly" NEON! lol
Kelly Awad replied:
BTW the lights do still work, but it no longer turns. I can remember as a kid that you could see that thing for miles.
