Not That Impressed With Anne Geddes

December 7th, 2015

I rarely blog but GGGGG, I don't get why she gets all of this extra attention when there are far better artists right here on this website, and so many more elsewhere in the world! She does baby pics, and she does them well! She will never be more than a couch portrait though, and I wish you guys would stop glorifying the mediocre!

Passed up New Mexico

And went right on into Colorado! LOVIN' IT! It was not easy! We did everything from Best Westerns, to KOA Kampsites & Cabins, with our little dog Lil Bits! We left Missouri down south through Arkansas to Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico (Absolutely HATED IT!), and then right into my new hometown, Pueblo, Colorado! More to come! lol

Watched Basquiat ALL weekend for inspiration...

Watched Basquiat ALL weekend for inspiration...

So many facets to this young man, in a life that ended all too soon. Many a great artist, share his sad fate. I hate those cliche' statements like, "they were born in the wrong era", or "a century too late". It is Bull-Hockey! We are right where we are supposed to be, and right when we are supposed to be there. To me the inspiring part of his story is that he kept going, when no body believed in him. Even girls lost interest in taking care of him, because they viewed his ways as lazy, and that he had no ambitions???? He worked even as parties went on around him, sometimes being inspired by these very events. Some of his works were thoughts from years gone by, triggered by some recent event. At times, he worked in Armani suits! He was definitely a free spirit, but he was more ambitious than most people realize. Heroin is a difficult one to get along without, once you've become accustomed to using it. I'd say even more so, when your using it for inspiration. The critics would say his work was "Dead", whenever he wasn't using, and it spiraled out of control. What a profoundly saddening, yet profoundly inspiring story.

Moving to New Mexico

I'm moving to New Mexico, in June of next year! I can't wait, and I'm looking forward to some new scenery, for my photography. Right now it is 13 degrees in St. Louis, and 37 in New Mexico! Hell, I wish I was there right now! One nice thing with AFF, is I can take it anywhere! Hopefully we will all have a great sales year, I'm thinking BIG! And makin changes!
