Description
This Sculpture by Harry Walker is located on Laclede's Landing, near the Arch, in downtown St. Louis. Under normal conditions the water would actually be about 100 yards away from the statue, so the "Waters Up" as a title really fits.

Kelly Awad replied:
Thanks Lynn, they throw up these ugly retainer walls now when it floods and you can't get near the water.

Great capture!!
Kelly Awad replied:
Thank you so much Sharon! It was a once in a lifetime shot too, because the statue got moved to much higher ground!
Elena Ivanova IvEA
great!
Kelly Awad replied:
This is about where the water is again, but the statue has been moved as you saw in Lewis and Clark Arriving at Laclede's Landing.

Yikes! Was this a historic flood?
Kelly Awad replied:
Yes it is Barbie, 2012, St. Louis, Mo. 37 feet above flood stage. The statue has since been moved to higher grounds, and the sculptor was impressed that he could not find a single weld mark, although it was cut into 8 separate pieces!
