Description
The SS Admiral was built in 1907, and it was the largest inland waterway passenger steamer. From 1937 to 1993, the Admiral was used for excursions, up and down the Mississippi. Many schools held their graduation parties on the boat. It was like a floating bar, restaurant, and dance hall all in one! The Admiral was permanently docked in 1993, and faced up with the President's Casino. In 2002 they declared bankruptcy, and in 2006 the casino was purchased by Pinnacle Entertainment. In 2010, sadly, the SS Admiral was scrapped, when no buyers came forward.
